    How to use the Film School Application Database & Tracker

    Thanks to our many members, the FilmSchool.org Application Database and Tracker consists of over 4,000 applications that date back to 2015, making it one of the most advantageous tools on the website. Its basic function is to track film schools’ rates of acceptance, minimum GPAs, accepted test scores, in addition to each program's many notification and decision dates.

Overview
2nd time applying. I was admitted last year but didn't attend cause I couldn't afford tuition (hoping for a full ride lol)

How has the application process gone so far?

You must be a Supporting Member (as low as $2/month) to see the full notes and all of the materials, GPAs, SAT scores, GRE scores, portfolios, etc... that were submitted with this application. (If provided by applicant) Log in or register now.

Hey Julia! Congrats on getting in TWICE! That is amazing. I just got admitted as a directing fellow. Like you, though, my attendance will entirely depend on scholarship aid. I heard they don't tend to give a lot so I'm nervous. Do you know much about how much they offer/ how many full rides they give?

Heey, congrats on getting in!!! I guess you've already received your scholarship decision by now. I got mine yesterday.
Anyway, from what I could find, AFI only has about three full rides avaiable to distribute, so those people must be pretty happy now. Unfortunaltely it's not me haha

Aaaaahh! Okay. I'm sorry to hear it wasn't you. Any luck though? Do you think you'll still attend? i haven't even gotten mine yet sooooo....😅 it's the waiting game.

I got 8k which I hear is pretty standard. And on that note, I don't think I'll be able to go...

Maybe it's good news that you haven't heard anything yet 😅

Ahhh shoot! I'm really sorry to hear that. I got a similar amount. Do you know if there are any resources in your country? Like any specific scholarships? AFI is internationally recognized and I wouldn't be surprised if there's some options out there! I've been looking at this: Fellowships Database - Academic and Professional | ProFellow , which if you look under "funding database" there's some pretty good resources. Also, some of these may pertain to you https://cinema.usc.edu/producing/2016_17OutsideScholarshipGuide.pdf (USC's outside resource guide). What about Erasmus, or the Fulbright? I'd really look into the Fulbright if I were you. It's competitive, but if you got into AFI, you'd probably have a good chance.
