    How to use the Film School Application Database & Tracker

    Thanks to our many members, the FilmSchool.org Application Database and Tracker consists of over 4,000 applications that date back to 2015, making it one of the most advantageous tools on the website. Its basic function is to track film schools’ rates of acceptance, minimum GPAs, accepted test scores, in addition to each program's many notification and decision dates.

Overview
First time applying. I have been granted a La Caixa Fellowship to study a film directing MA abroad.

How has the application process gone so far?

A lot of waiting and waiting and waiting...
You must be a Supporting Member (as low as $2/month) to see the full notes and all of the materials, GPAs, SAT scores, GRE scores, portfolios, etc... that were submitted with this application. (If provided by applicant) Log in or register now.

Browsing through the forums it seems like those called for interview were already contacted... so it seems like bad news. Though I will wait for the final results.

If not accepted, I will have to apply for the US schools to be able to profit from a full Fellowship I have been granted to study film directing abroad.

Hi! I am an MA Sound Design applicant and my friend applied for Fiction Directing. Unfortunately he did not register for the forum. Have you seen any other Fiction Directing applicants who have qualified for interviews? My friend is still at the Selecting Panel stage.

Hi xXMing. Here is the thread where I found the applicant "deambaba" stating on the 4th of July that he was called for an interview in Directing Fiction. So... sadly we should suppose the rest of us have not been chosen for an interview.

So, most probably, your friend and I have not passed the first selection phase... A big hug to him and let's hope for best luck next time.

The NFTS receives an extremely high number of applications, and each one is reviewed by a professional selection panel. Due to the high volume of applications, this process can take a number of weeks from the application closing date. The panel are thorough and give their attention to each individual application to ensure a fair selection process at each stage.
