How to use the Film School Application Database & Tracker

Thanks to our many members, the FilmSchool.org Application Database and Tracker consists of over 4,000 applications that date back to 2015, making it one of the most advantageous tools on the website. Its basic function is to track film schools’ rates of acceptance, minimum GPAs, accepted test scores, in addition to each program's many notification and decision dates.

This is a sample Application to showcase the various features of the Tracker

How has the application process gone so far?

This is a sample to show you how to enter your application into the Film School Application Database and Tracker.

MOST OF WHAT YOU POST IN YOUR APPLICATION IS HIDDEN FROM THE GENERAL WEB AND ONLY VISIBLE TO SITE MEMBERS. Any files you attach will also ONLY be accessible to site members. NOT Google.

Since this is an example application anyone can see the content of this one.

Okay.... Onto the pointers...

This "How has the application process gone so far?" section is where you'd write about how the application process went... How and when you submitted it... Things the school told you when you spoke to them... etc...

As the application process goes on you'd then EDIT the application to add new info such as Interview Notification date and Interview date and change the PREFIX of the application to the correct status. Be sure to select "post as update" when you edit the application so that it'll go to the top of the application page and everyone "watching" the application will be instantly notified.

You then can add information to the other sections below such as the Interview, Scholarship, and Decision section.

I think this is absolutely wonderful and hope that 2020 applicants will update their posts as they begin the interview process.
