    How to use the Film School Application Database & Tracker

    Thanks to our many members, the FilmSchool.org Application Database and Tracker consists of over 4,000 applications that date back to 2015, making it one of the most advantageous tools on the website. Its basic function is to track film schools’ rates of acceptance, minimum GPAs, accepted test scores, in addition to each program's many notification and decision dates.

How has the application process gone so far?

This was my first time applying and I honestly...
You must be a Supporting Member (as low as $2/month) to see the full notes and all of the materials, GPAs, SAT scores, GRE scores, portfolios, etc... that were submitted with this application. (If provided by applicant) Log in or register now.

Congratulations! I'm really happy for you! Do you know if everybody who got in get the email at the same time/day or if it varies a bit? Also, do you know so many people are accepted and waitlisted?

I'm asking because I also applied, but didn't get anything yet, so my hopes are kind of dying...

Thank you! If you’re international, acceptance emails went out on Saturday around 12:47 a.m. PST. I know domestic students tend to get theirs a day or two later, but according to the USC forum thread, none of the domestic students have received theirs yet. I did just get an email today around 2 p.m. PST officially welcoming me to the School of Cinematic Arts, so my guess is that they have finished sending out acceptance emails at least to international students for now. But I don’t know for sure and I have no idea how many are waitlisted.

All the best, and I hope the long wait ends with good news for you!

Thank you for answering! I don't know... I feel it's a no for me, but I really wanted USC, you know? Anyway, things happen as they should happen. I'm still happy for you though! Enjoy!!!!!

Hey, don't give up hope yet! Others in the USC thread have called admissions and confirmed that acceptance letters are still being sent out until mid-March. Good luck!

Hi, I just emailed the admissions department yesterday and this was their response! If you applied but haven't received a scholarship letter yet, don't panic as it looks like they haven't sent them out yet.

Congrats!! I'm applying for 2024. I read your A & B scenes and love them, it also reassures me I'm on the right track with my own! Both scenes were really touching, thanks for sharing :)

Hi! I applied to USC and I'm having some doubts about the financial documentation. Did they ask you to send any before they make a decision?
