Let's talk about the infamous article by The Wall Street Journal that criticized Columbia SOA for leaving some film program graduates with high loans and difficulty finding well-paying jobs. How are you trying to ease the sting of student debt?
Julie: I’m familiar with The Wall Street Journal's article. We do have donor funding and grants that supply a large number of our scholarships, but we don’t have the same access to these funds compared to the undergraduate Columbia College.
We are always working on ways to make the MFA film program easier to access and to reduce the amount of debt students graduate with.
