Study Away Programs for NYU Tisch Undergraduate Film Students
Kanbar Institute of Undergraduate Film & Television students can explore filmmaking in enriching new environments for one semester during their junior or senior years. From the palm tree-lined streets of Los Angeles to the baroque and Art Deco-inspired architecture of Havana, film students learn and hone their creative skills in scenic locations.
NYU Tisch Study Away offers opportunities for screenwriters, directors, playwrights, actors, producers, and other major interested in making a career in entertainment and media. The following programs have a filmmaking focus:
Fall and Spring
To qualify, students must complete two semesters at the New York City campus and sit for an interview or an audition. Visiting NYU students must be registered full-time in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university.

- Paris: Experimental Production (Not offered in 2024 due to the Olympics)
- Prague: 35MM Visual Storytelling
- Florence: Writing Florence
