Young Filmmakers Get a Head Start in the Tisch Summer High School Program
If you aspire to go to New York University to study film as an undergraduate student but have no prior experience, grow your portfolio at the Tisch Summer High School Program. This exciting enrichment program can help high school students gauge if studying undergraduate film at NYU is their best fit.
The entire program is open to high school sophomore and juniors; participants can attend on-campus, as commuters, or online. High school seniors are only allowed to apply to the Online High School Filmmakers Workshop and the Online High School Screenwriters Workshop. In addition to the Filmmakers Workshop, high school sophomores and juniors can study:
Tuition (4 Credits): $7,376
Housing (4 Weeks): $1,688
Meal Plan: $740
Registration and Services fees: TBA
Program Fee (activities facilitated by Residential Life & Housing): $200
Dramatic Writing Ticket Fee: $447
Film Narrative Lab and Insurance Fee: $638
Film Narrative Ticket Fee: $209
Total cost of attendance before program fees and meal plan: $9,064
Limited financial aid and scholarship opportunities are also available.
The 2025 application is open now through January 11, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. ET. The scholarship application is due Wednesday, February 1, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Late applications are not considered.
To apply, pay the $75 application fee (non-refundable) and submit your unofficial high school transcripts, creative resume, personal statement, and one recommendation.
