View film school 96In USC's MFA Producing program, Starkies learn the ins and outs of producing for television, film, and new media. In 2021, the program gained impressive new faculty with chair Ed Saxon and Producer-in-Residence Nina Yang Bongiovi, producer for Fruitvale Station and other major motion pictures.
Core classes explore financing, scheduling, budgeting films, script development, and more. USC's program helps students master the basics of producing and encourages unique thinking. For example, film students can explore new career avenues with the Loyola Marymount University
The two-year MFA program is intensive — students can't take outside electives. USC provides all film equipment, and projects are shot and edited digitally. Producing students have the flexibility of two off days during their first year and all night classes during their second year to obtain industry experience. View film school 113LMU offers a three-year MFA in Film & Television program. Film school students are well prepared to enter the industry at all major film hubs in America. Workshops are capped at only eight students and focus on spec scripts, pilots, and long-form teleplays.
