Columbia’s Creative Producing, MFA program will train you to find great material, navigate the marketplace, hire talent, juggle financial and legal issues, and deliver high-quality entertainment to enthusiastic audiences. Over the course of the program, you'll work with a Cinema Director to develop two major films: one that is producer-driven and one that is director-driven. No other producing program in the country gives students the opportunity to actually make films. You'll learn the entire process from acquisition through post-production, producing a short film and developing a long-form narrative project for your thesis that you will package in Los Angeles during the final 8 weeks of your program.
