Film School details

Students in this program focus on workshopping their teleplays and the goal is for each student to complete one spec script of an existing television show and two original pilot scripts by the end of the course. Upon finishing the program, students receive a certificate of completion from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

The UCLA Professional Program in Writing for Television was created to bring a greater number of promising writers to UCLA. This is the perfect way to get a respected UCLA writing education, to receive honest feedback on your teleplays, and to work under a regimen that will allow you to come away with three completed television scripts — all while keeping your day job.
