This scholarship is intended for non-journalism students preparing for a media career (ie. film, commercial production, etc).

High school seniors in a school in the Mid-America region who have an interest in media studies and have been accepted at a college as a media, journalism, or mass communication major are eligible to apply.

In addition, college undergraduates registered in a school in the Mid-America region(and currently pursuing media majors) are also eligible for scholarships.

Applicants do not need to be members of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to receive a scholarship.
