    I'm very curious if Chapman has had a huge influx of applications since they've started ranking higher in the top film school lists. It seems like a few years ago they had a higher acceptance rate, I wouldn't be surprised if it has become much more competitive.

    Does this mean you are unable to schedule an interview? Or just that they have scheduled or done all the interviews they were going to send out this cycle.

    Does anyone know if all accepted students get interviewed? I think I read an article on here from an admissions person that said only half of accepted students got interviewed, and to not assume they aren't interested if you haven't recieved an interview request. On the other hand filtering...

    I was giving it to today to hold my hopes out for an interview for directing. Seems like it must've just been a highly competitive year for that discipline! Congrats to those who got interviews, wish you the best of luck. Keep this thread updated I'm curious to hear how they go.

    I checked their application confirmation email and it says if you don't hear from them by the end of Feb you have not been selected to interview.

    I haven’t yet either. Wishful thinking is that they might be doing them last for whatever reason. I haven’t heard about any directing interviews. Staying optimistic!

    I have not heard from USC about an interview, so am crossing my fingers they either haven't gotten to me or don't feel like they need the interview to make the decision. Putting it out of my mind for the time being!

    Denied (w/o Interview) Chapman Film Production/Directing MFA - 2024

    The process was smooth, I had materials from the other applications that overlapped and made this an easy choice as another submissioon. I enjoy that Chapman lets you upload as many narrative short films that you have completed.

    Denied (w/o Interview) USC Film Production MFA - 2024

    Went very well, spent a lot of time preparing materials and like the short I submitted. Really enjoyed doing the supplementary materials. A lot of overlap with other applications.
