Hi everybody!

In Bloom is the first film I made for Stonybrook's MFA Program. The film premiered on October 17th, 2024, at New York Shorts. It is an abstract Gothic romance short film. It's less of a narrative and more of a visual poem. I hope that doesn't sound to pretentious lol.

Anyway, I am more than happy to answer questions about the film or about Stonybrook.

Thank you for taking the time to watch it!

Chris said this was supposed to be visual poetry - and he really delivered. His use of light and contrast was really enjoyable, and the while both romantic and eerie, this short left me with a sense of longing and nostalgia. I look forward to seeing more from this director.

Visually stunning thought piece with startling, stark imagery. Excellent casting, moody, evocative. Haunting. Conjures an era when film was art as opposed to entertainment.
