Boston University (BS) or Syracuse University (BFA) for Film undergrad?

I know the two programs have fairly different approaches—but which one would ultimately be the smartest choice? A few aspects I’m looking for: curriculum strength, professors, LA semester, flexibility to explore (not sure which concentration I’m looking for), healthy collaboration dynamics in...

Denied (w/o Interview) Boston University - MFA in Screenwriting - Fall 2023

First time applying. What most made this application stand out was the video interview via Kira Talent. After being posed a question, you have 45 seconds to consider an answer and then will be filmed for 90 seconds to answer. I found it freeing to be able to answer by myself with no one watching...

Admitted (w/o Interview) BU Screenwriting MFA - Fall 2022

Bu has a very simple application, 20 page sample from two different works, and three recommendation letters. Kira Talent online screening was rough though, would recommend preparing earlier rather than completing at the last minute.

MFA Screenwriting - Chapman or BU?

Hey guys, I'm trying to decide between Chapman or BU for the Screenwriting MFA and I would love to hear some thoughts about it. I'm trying to do some research here. Thank you!!

Admitted (w/o Interview) BU MFA Screenwriting - Fall 2022

Application was similar to others. The only thing I didn't like was the Kira assessment. I don't think it's a good way to get to know us, an interview would be better. We don't have enough time to prepare and answer the questions.

Hey everyone, I decided to create a thread for Boston University’s (BU) Screenwriting MFA for Fall 2022 entry. Anyone else waiting on Boston?

    LMU v. BU

It looks like my choice for 2017 is going to come down to LMU or BU - I am waiting to hear back from a few other schools, but they are long shots. I know and understand the significant differences between the schools themselves, and how the campus and city life would be different. There is a...

Boston University - College of Communication (M.F.A. Cinema & Media Production)

Focused and intensive, the Boston University Master of Fine Arts program in Cinema and Media Production is unique. You finish in one calendar year—three semesters—instead of two years as at other programs. That’s because there are no introductory courses. Ours is a professional-level, terminal...
