Process was pretty easy, didn’t have too much trouble but it could be tedious at times. The hardest part was the waiting for a while afterwards for any updates.
it was fun! the ucla application was def my favorite one so far and the interview went well :) I really liked the fact that they asked for treatments, it was fun to dive back into my undergrad days/ideas.
Super simple essays, uploaded one visual example/video link, which was optional. Had to upload 2 treatments, film or TV is ok.
This was my second time applying. Didn't get an interview last time.
The application round required a lot of essays and materials, and the formatting requirements were very strict. The most difficult application I applied for.
I was scared I might not get in considering how competitive and if there is something like application burn out I think I got it.
But I got in !!
It's a lengthy process but I guess being a top school with so many applicants they have to do whatever they can to cut down the numbers.
See you in August
Easy to follow application and interview process. I was a little nervous in the beginning, but it was a great experience and I learned so much from it.
Pretty easy process, the interview was very intense, it felt a little like an oral exam. Haven't seen a lot of other people post here about the program, I was surprised to hear back so quickly after the interview. Definitely anxious to hear back from Columbia to help make my final decision.
It was a bit of a rush because the deadline was not clear and the website also opened a few days after its planned opening. As an international student, it was difficult to have clear guidelines for things that are not usual to do for our applications.
Very nervous.
Since this is my second time applying and my first time being interviewed I have a lot of hope but am also filled with anxious excitement.
Would love to hear how people’s interviews are going.
There were changes to the program curriculum after taking a year hiatus from applications. The updates were not made to the website until a month before. There were not obvious ways to interact with the program staff or admission office ahead of applications.
This application process goes smooth if you begin mid-September--as soon as the UCLA application uploads. Started with the statement of purpose (500 words) and two feature film treatments (took a script and transformed it into treatment and did one from scratch.) The producer program...
Hey there,
I submitted my application to the UCLA Producers Program last night and was going over the application proof to make sure everything was submitted properly. I noticed that I could see each document that I posted except for the Producers Questionnaire. Has this happened for anyone else?

Application process went great. I spent months constructing my Statement of Purpose, Personal Statement, answering questions for the UCLA Producers Program Questionnaire, and making sure everything else was in order.

I saw an outdated post from 2009 about whether or not it's beneficial to get a JD and MFA in Film & Television production. Everyone was saying you should choose either one or the other, and I can't help but disagree. There are many competent producers with a JD and one might argue, they may have...
Hello to all,
I was wondering if anyone else applied to UCLA’s Producers Program (according to the Google Tracking Table people have :D) and if anyone has heard anything yet?
Good luck everyone!
