So...you’re applying for film school, huh? I mean, that’s just my assumption. Not sure why you would bother reading this otherwise, especially with where we are currently in The Cycle of Applications. These next couple weeks are pretty much when all the major film school programs have their...

There's also advice on what to do if not accepted in the forum below. Please start a 2024 thread if there isn't one yet.

Where did everyone get accepted to? Don't forget to log your applications.

If you are accepted I hope you'll be able to stick around. It's always a bummer to "meet" all these interesting people and see these great conversations on the site and then slowly everyone visits the site less frequently or not at all once they get accepted.

I see a lot of people posting about making GroupMe or WhatsApp groups to stay in touch off the site but I'm not sure everyone knows that you can create a multiple user private conversation here on FilmSchool.org. You can even add members later if you forget to add them when the conversation is started.

You can start a private conversation with up to 10 members (but there's no limit for Supporting Members). You can even install FilmSchool.org as an "app" on your phone.

Supporting Members can also access private forums for accepted students but they're only active if make them active:

Long story short I hope you stick around by either using private messages or the private forums. :)

And congrats on being accepted! Where is everyone accepted to and where are you going to attend?

I've changed the text of the "Start Conversation" button to "Start Private Message" so it's more clear what it is. :)
