Applying as BFA at 38

Hi everyone.

I am planning to apply to USC SCA production program as a freshman in 2025. I will be 38 years old.

Will my age be a disadvantage when applying to the BFA program? Or, will I have a legitimate chance of being considered for admission like all other applicants?

Would love to hear from non-traditional students/applicants who have experience with applying (as BFA) and/or attending film school later in life.

As an additional information- I don’t have a college degree or credits.

Also applying to MFA producing and screenwriting programs at age 39. I'd be matriculating at age 40! Everything I've heard indicates we have the same chance as everyone else. But I'd love to hear what others think!
