Applying both USC and AFI - Is it ok to use the same media sample?

Hey guys, so I am applying to both USC and AFI for the Fall 2024 semester with an emphasis on directing. I had shot a several short films over the past few years but the one that I am the most satisfied with is a rather longer one (15mins). As I was just looking at USC's media sample requirements I realized that it needs to be no longer than 5 minutes. Instead of cutting down the original story I've decided to make a new one. However, I've also noticed that the AFI application requirements has a directing assignment that's also within 5 minutes.

I was wondering if I could submit the same videos to two school? Since the AFI directing assignment has a prompt which is "necessity", I will need to make the video with this topic. Do you guys think I can also submit this one to USC?
