Hi filmmakers! Are you looking for an opportunity to publicly showcase your filmmaking talents? Are you finding a chance to experiment with your style of filmmaking and receive feedback from critical, knowledgeable, and invested audiences? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then what you are looking for is The 2016 Student Short Film Competition of Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival.
As a subsidiary competition of Carnegie Mellon University’s International Film Festival, the Student Short Film Competition combines the glamour of film festival exhibition and the professionalism of cinematic expertise into one eye-opening event. For this year, we are celebrating our 10th anniversary entitled with the theme “Faces of Conflict.”
Students would have the chance to be awarded up to $1,000 for winning short film submissions. First, Second and Third prizes will be given to the films selected by a panel of respected filmmakers and scholars in Pittsburgh, and the People’s Choice award will be voted by the audience members at the main event.
