Chapman 2024 - All MFA Programs

They didn't ask if I had any questions at the end lol I don't know if thats a sign of "Jesus Christ, I hate this girl!" 😭 or not, but needless to say my booty cheeks are clinched tight 😂!
The interview was only 30 minutes. It’s possible that you talked or they talked so much that they simply ran out of time for you to ask questions at the end.

Just wanted to let everyone know that it's now much easier to log multiple applications to the site as you can now COPY a previously logged application. :)

If you haven't logged your applications yet please do. Hopefully, now it won't be as much of a chore. It's a HUGE help to people. :)

Thought I’d share that the admissions office has posted new dates for in-person campus visits! I had previously called to inquire about visiting, and they said they were holding off from scheduling tours since they were so busy going through applications. Hopefully this is a sign that they’re wrapping up decisions soon!

Has anyone visited the campus in person? I would like to if I get admitted, just hoping I can do so within the short time frame I would have to accept in.

Deciding on whether or not to attend Chapman is a tough decision because whichever decision I choose will determine the trajectory of my life for the next 5 years.

Should I not attend Chapman, I will head to The Philippines. There, I will finally fulfill my dream of having a normal dating life. I will go on dates with many women until I fall in love with one of them and get married and start a family.

But should I attend Chapman, I move to California and go 100k into debt, but get the opportunity to potentially go into the career of film editing and perhaps find a good job. But the penalty is that I will be in my thirties without ever having a girlfriend before. And there is little chance that I find a girlfriend in California.

I must choose between the opportunity for love or the opportunity for glory. I cannot have both.

I'm a SoCal native. In fact, I live 15 minutes from Chapman. I'm also older than you, like, by a lot. And if I go to film school, it'll be my second time in grad school (the first time was b-school).

I don't know if it's fair to say you have zero chance of finding a partner if you move here and go to Chapman. Many young professionals in their late twenties or early thirties live in and around campus. The Orange Circle, a major area to go out--a ton of nightlife and opportunities to meet people--is not even a five-minute walk from Dodge. Orange County also has a sizable pinoy population, probably one of the largest in the US, if not the largest.

In business school, I dated a lot and met many potential partners (one of whom probably might've/could've/should've become my spouse). Just because you're pursuing an advanced degree, your personal life doesn't have to stop. Learning how to balance your professional and personal goals is one of the skills you have to develop while in grad school so as to have a well-rounded life. It doesn't have to be an either/or proposition.

Regardless, good luck tomorrow!

Yeah but are the filipinas in California obsessed with tall guys?

Because I'm going to be completely honest with you, I'm short as shit. If I walked into the Kentucky Derby and told random people attending that I was a horse jockey competing, many people would 100% believe me. I have the perfect horse jockey build; Short, skinny, but decently athletic and if Kevin Hart ever wants to feel like a normal sized man, he can come hangout with me.

So if the girls in California want tall guys, I'm completely screwed.

Plenty of dudes Bruno Mars' size do just fine here in Cali. But I'd keep the horse jockey dream to yourself, homie.

Goes generally don’t care about height or hair, two things I find males obsessed with. A good sense of humor which you clearly have with some optimism and kindness triumph height any day.
