Hi, Tammy. Sorry to bother u. Can I ask you a question? I scheduled my interview, but didn't receive a Zoom link or a meeting ID from Chapman. Do I have to send them one or they would send me one before the interview? Thanks!

Don’t worry, I believe they’ve sent you an email with a link of “you can access your virtual interview session here”, if they haven’t, they will. You click it, go to the website page, and you will see a count down, the zoom link will show on the page at 5 mins before the interview start. (Actually it shows a button first, you click the button and the link appears, but the button will only appears 5mins before your scheduled time.)

Has there been a lot of people getting interviews for screenwriting? It's been radio silence on my end and what I've seen on this thread has mostly been directing, so wanted to ask.

So I looked at the statistics @Chris W kindly posted for past applicants and based on those it appears that it is way more common for Directing applicants to get an interview before acceptance than it is screenwriting. Obviously take that with a grain of salt because I don't know if they changed anything lately and could totally be wrong but based on the past 5 years of data it might not be time to give up hope.

Will I find the zoom link in the same page 5mins before the interview? Thank you again for your information!

I did the interview today. The link did not appear before 5 minutes. I almost had a panic attack. But right at my interview time, there is a “connect” bottom you can click on and it will automatically take you to Zoom. And yes you would use the same page for the interview.

It depends on when you got an interview request. If you got one at the beginning of February then you'll get a decision in mid March, at least that's what they told me at the end of the interview and by email. If you got a request this past week then I'm guessing they'll give you a decision either at the same time or the end of March. It looks like the rest of the decisions will come out by the end of April regardless of if you got an interview.

I interviewed there last week for screenwriting. Pretty straightforward and the two professors conducting it were very nice and welcoming. They definitely moved the school higher on my list, if I'm lucky enough to be accepted.

Admission of Dodge replied me that they are still in the middle of reviewing. Same words as what they replied me 3 weeks earlier. I believe everything is possible at this moment since they only open interviews till this Friday.

I guess If someone get the invitation I believe they will choose the slot soon. And the day when I received the invitation, there are some available slots in that day and the next day.

I had the interview yesterday and the whole process is funny and chill and the interviewer is so energetic.

Just finished my interview with Kevin Jones, didn’t realize he was the chair of all the graduate programs until the end lol I probably would have been a lot more nervous had I known in the beginning. It was very chill and relaxed though. More like a conversation.

Why Chapman? What’s different about us than the other programs?

It goes by quickly! I did ask him what the next step in admission and he said that coming up shortly he sits down with some of the faculty and they choose 18 people for the directing program. Yes, 18 lol I didn’t realize it was so small. He said that people would start getting notifications at the end of this month.
