Columbia SOA MFA Directing & Screenwriting - Fall 2024

I also got the waitlist for Writing For Film&TV. I just want to know if I accept the waitlist, does that mean that I must say yes if the final offer fortunately came? Or if I got waitlist off, could I still have a choice to say no?

I'm a longtime lurker and I'm curious -- what do your portals look like? Mine has yet to update and I'm incredibly nervous at the moment.

Congrats everyone why was waitlisted. That in of itself is an achievement.

Don't forget to log or update your applications! It's very helpful to people.

Has anyone else heard back for Directing & Screenwriting yet?
Also haven’t heard anything. I’m still hopeful but also mentally preparing myself for rejection lol

I also interviewed with Trey and Elizabeth…has anyone who interviewed with them heard back yet?

I'm finding waiting especially excruciating knowing others have heard back already. I wish it was like undergrad -- all of us (or at least most) knew when we'd hear back. Good luck to everyone else waiting! I suspect we will know by Friday!

Shoutout to the gang remaining here anxiously refreshing this thread and their emails throughout the day :D

Just wanna say that having this lil community and knowing that we weren't alone all through the process, notifications, waits, and decisions was so comforting for me. You're all brave af for going after your dreams, and even after this week ends, whatever the results - you won't be alone then either! The journey continues!!

Thank you and best of luck! I really needed to hear this. We got this! Not that this indicates much, but I got into an Ivy undergrad without an interview. I'm just saying, there's hope for those who didn't receive interviews! Until we're rejected, the possibility remains. Head high until then.
