Emerson Financial Aid

Hey guys, I'd like to hear some information and opinions about this particular subject...

I have two friends who got into Emerson and were all set to go, until they ran into big financial aid problems and could not go. One of my friends says the paperwork did not get in in time (I was unclear as to whether or not this was because of mailing complications), and the other is not sure why he had financial aid problems but suspects that reason also. The first friend said the most she was offered was $2000, and she had to go to a state school instead because of this. She also said that apparently the decision about whether or not to give financial aid depends on the income of the student's family.

Now my question, since I'm planning on transferring to Emerson next year, is this: assuming my financial aid paperwork gets in on time (which I will DEFINETLEY make sure of), do you guys think I will get adequate financial aid? I come from a family of three siblings, and my parents' combined income is about $150,000 (it actually varies, since my mom's income comes from a donation-supported service dog foundation). So...given that, what do you guys think?

Stay on top of the paperwork thing. Call them all the time. Never rest until you're sure the files are good. I had two accounts with Emerson when I was accepted, and one of them received a 50% scholarship (you need to APPLY for this), while the other did not. It was distressing.
