Like any of you, I've been a writer my entire life. My mom kept my "books" from age five on and I may have been the only soul in my county who salivated over the Young Authors contest we were made to enter every year in elementary school (Hi, I won. Several times.). I majored in journalism (Tennessee, Fall 2010(!!!) grad here) after trying on a few majors and recognizing my love of storytelling was where it's at. Back then, I wanted to be a music journalist, which I did for quite a while. I've got stories, man.

But, life happened and I've been working in marketing for a while and writing all the things on the side. It's been time for a career change for a while and without boring you with the journey to get from there to here, I've decided to flip life on its ear and go for a career in screenwriting, fully recognizing that I will be "starting over" in a lot of ways. I'm applying to several West Coast schools - definitely USC, LMU, and AFI - and again, acknowledging my portfolio will be thin in comparison, but hopeful other parts of my application will stand out.

So that's my intro. If you need me for the next two months, I'll probably be working on apps.
