!Thank you all for the good wishes. I've still yet to get an official letter from the university, but yeah, to correct my last message, I was asked to confirm my spot.
@stee0221 - They have a class size of around 26.
The skype interviews are fairly simple but intimidating since you're not present physically. I was interviewed by the associate dean and two more professors. My interview was at around 11.30pm at night for me, which was 2pm for them.
Regarding the interview, they usually ask basic questions like why film school? And why FSU? What is the last film that you've seen? Why did you or did you not like it? They basically want to find out what influences you as a filmmaker and whether you're worthy of being in one of a whole batch of people that will be collaborating creatively and act as a team member. The thing with filmmaking is that, you have varied people with different mindsets and how you function together to make a great film and bringing a particular vision to the screen. It's not intimidating if you've planned out on how you want to present yourself. At the end of the interview they usually give you a chance to let you ask questions about the program and the film school.
Once your interview is done, they'll select whoever is best suited, around April, according to their evaluation.
My advice (and I don't think how it will be helpful since I myself goofed up) is just be yourself. They're not looking for creative geniuses off the bat or someone who's immersed in filmmaking per se.
Hope that helps.
