Hi, I am planning to apply to NYFA LA Campus for 1 year conservatory cinematography course. I plan to apply for an OPT visa right after college which will be valid for 1 year.
So I would like to know about two things, I'd be glad if you can help me with those. I haven't yet applied due to these insecurities as I will be taking out a massive loan(Indian rupee to dollar conversion rate sucks) for this school.
1. After the validity of my OPT expires, will I have to take up a job to get a work visa?
2. If I want to work as a freelancer, what work visa type would that require?
I haven't yet applied because it wouldn't be a financially viable situation if I can only work for 1 year after school.
