Is a campus tour helpful?

Hello, it is my pleasure to write my first thread in this forum. I think many of you are passionate students who would like to succeed in the field of film.

Recently, I got a chance to attend NYU as a visiting student in this summer and will stay in New York City for 6 weeks. Although I am in the wait list at NYU Tisch, I am a little nervous because, naturally, wait list does not guarantee my grad school admission. For that reason, I am trying to make plans during my summer session to help my future application to American film schools and reserving campus tours is one of those.

However, I am not sure if a campus tour would be really benefitial(I have not attended any one, so far.). To be specific, I have no idea what I have to figure out during a campus tour. In fact, I am worried that it could be only a sightseeing of nice buildings and facailities. Is there anyone who may give me some advice?

Moreover, I am not sure a campus tour is beneficial to a prospective grad student like me, because I think most of campus tours are concentrated on prospective undergrad freshmen.

Thank you.
