I don't think the school sites are lying about their requirements, but I would say this: If you are interested in the program and you do not meet the GPA requirement, reach out to the Admissions office at each school and ask what a student with a low GPA can do to qualify. Some schools will accept your application with a below-requirement GPA if you also present GRE grades that are above a certain threshold, for example.
A quick scan of UCLA Admitted Applicants on Filmschool.org shows a couple people with 2.7-2.9 GPAs, but especially if yours is lower still, it seems like a good idea to reach out.
In case you're curious, other schools have GPA requirements as well, such as LMU and Cal State.
