LFA Application

Hello! First of all, I haven't seen a lot of people talking about London Film Academy. Can anyone tell me their thoughts about it please? I'm considering applying for MA in filmmaking.

I also want help with writing a personal statement. I know everyone says it has to be a story but their requirment is:
  • In 750 words, outline your motivation, background, filmmaking ambitions and ideas for a personal research project and explain why you want to study at LFA and why the MA Filmmaking programme is the right course for you.

I am wondering whether to even mention my desire to join the academy and focus on on personal story. I have drafted a statement and would appreciate assistance from someone skilled in personal statements. If interested, please message me and if you have links to great personal statements, please send it! :)

Second, what is the best way to send my creative materials? I only have short films and music videos. Their requirment is:
    • Showcase your best work, your digital portfolio, video showreel (max 10 mins) or short film script (10-20 pages) (PDF). Share films/videos as Vimeo or YouTube links in a single organized PDF titled “(Your name) - Creative materials”.

Should I just do a simple PDF and attach links to my work? Do you suggest I send music videos or just my short films?

This is my first time applying to film schools, so I would appreciate the help! Thank you and I hope to talk to people who atteneded the academy!

Yes this would be good. Check out our interviews with various film school admissions departments. There's some nuggets on personal statements within them:
