LFS 2024 - When do you get an answer after an interview

Hey everyone! I just had my interview with London Film School and I think it went really well. I was wondering when do you approximately get an answer from them after the interview, I understand it depends on an individual, but maybe someone could tell me around what time I should be expecting an email?😁

Hey Agne! I also applied to the London Film School for the MA Screenwriting Program. I still haven't been called for an interview though. I'd love to get in touch and chat with you about the process!

As far as I know, the interview started at the end of February, and no one has received an offer until now. This year is abnormal

Has anyone who applied for filmmaking in 2023 received an offer?

Hey Isadora! Nice to meet you too:))

I applied to LFS's MA filmmaking program.

I turned in my application on 9 Mar deadline was on 15 March (I also had to send my IELTS results a bit later, on 29 March) and got an invitation for the interview on 6 Apr, my interview was on 13th April. From all my research ( a tittle summary - Complete applications submitted by the stipulated deadlines will normally be processed within eight weeks of the published processing start date. If your application is referred back to you, e.g. because it is incomplete, it may take longer than eight weeks for us to process it), what I gathered is that you wait around a month or longer till they review your application and send you an email stating if you got selected for the interview or not. I got my invitation a bit quicker even though my application was incomplete, so keep in mind that it's different for everyone, do not stress about it:)

I completely understand how you are feeling. Right now I've been so stressed and anxious about if I got in to the program or not as I'm still waiting for their email. Looking at other people experiences, it takes two weeks:)

Good luck! Hope everything goes well for you:)

This actually makes me feel a bit better😅
But yes, it is quite abnormal🤔

Hey same here. Have been waiting for 1.5 months. Is it safe to say that I didn't get through at this point :(

Hey, don't worry, I wrote LFS and they said that only after the deadline (it was this Monday) they'll be announcing the results. For the interview it might be the same, not sure about that.

Hi everybody! Has any of you received any news? In the email that LFS sent they mentioned “all applicants will be notified of the outcome of the application within 8 weeks from the published application deadline”. We’ve almost reached those 8 weeks and still haven’t heard any news :(

Good luck to everybody!

Hi Pinbacker,

it took way more than 8 weeks for me, more like 12, but it seems they're in the final stretch of all applications (I've just had my interview today), and it shouldn't take much more time now. Did you submit a late application? They take the "first come, first served" approach when it comes to those.

Hi Reedirect, thanks for the reply! Congrats on the interview, how did it went?

I’n my case, I send the application on May 15th, close to the deadline but still on time. Also, I took my interview a month ago and yes, it seems we should be hearing from LFS in the coming days.

Ah, I misinterpreted your original post then! The interview went alright. It was much more tightly structured than with US universities, where I felt like having a genuine conversation. I didn't really feel at ease answering some of the questions. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they went with someone else. But we'll see.

In any case, they said it would be around 14 days for the final results. Good luck!
