LMU Film & TV Production VS UCLA Production/Directing - Narrative

Hello guys. About a week ago, I got into LMU MFA program (with 10k scholarship by the way). They asked me to decide and put deposit of $500 until April 1st. The problem is, I'm also waiting for the result of UCLA and as far as I remember, they told me that the announcement will be at April. Instead of checking the mailbox everyday, I just want to make up my mind early.
Actually, in the interview preparation, I was already attracted by LMU for its kindness. The website was full of information and I felt like it has lots of interest in caring students and offering opportunities to them. I don't think the campus and facilities are crucial parts in decision but LMU surely has beautiful campus and provides high-end equipments. Maybe that's why its rank and recognition are getting higher every year.
However, what makes me hesitate is the reputation that UCLA has. I am an international student so just in case I am also thinking of getting a job in my country after graduation. UCLA is definitely much famous in here too. Plus, I think many renowned and skillful professors may prefer higher rank film school. (This can be my prejudice though). Among LMU's advantages, I barely found that the learning is excellent and in fact many LMU professors are from USC or UCLA. On the other hand, I also heard a lot about UCLA's indifference to students and some extreme bad reviews I read on this website worries me.
If you were in my situation, what would you choose?

Same case right here. I'm from China btw. I'm also waiting on UCLA just because it's my top school and it is renowned. LMU is also my favorite, and I think its biggest advantage is that it's cheap. As a director who is going to shoot your MFA thesis, LMU equipments storage will get most to all equipments needs covered for your thesis, and you get scholarships, so it's even better.

Thank you for your advice! I'm Korean and it is lovely to meet asian here! Yeah I heard a lot about how fancy LMU is. It would be so beneficial when it comes to shooting mine. How about you? If you are accepted to both, will you choose UCLA?

dude I’m really not sure. But I think might go to LMU…..? Cuz beside directing, I do cinematography the most. And a big part of cinematography learning is to get to know high end gears and technologies. LMU just invested 50,000 for equipment this year, so they are now the number 1 film school with the most amount of good modern gears. Overall, for directing, I will have lower cost for my thesis; for cinematography, I will have super abundant opportunities to practice with gears.

Hey, that's really huge part. I understand why you are leaning to LMU and it's very persuasive! Thank you for sharing your situation and information. BTW, I just finished my enrollment of LMU and sent my $500 deposit. Nothing heard from UCLA:/

Nice man. If you select "enroll", are you still allowed to go to other schools? Also, can I connect with you through instagram or anything?

I'm not sure... But it is the non-refundable deposit that matters right now so I guess it is possible to disclaim mine later.
I'll send my instagram ID! Plz check the message box.
