LMU MFA Applicants 2014/2015

Well, I finished my interview two days ago, and Kennedy told me in the end of the interview that they would offer me a place and a small amount of scholarship. I am waiting for their email confirmation and my status in the system is still "referred". How about you? Have you received any updates?

Congrats to you too! I only wish I could get a chance to get in! But still heard of nothing yet!! I am starting to lose hope now!

I just got off from a meeting with Ms.Wheatley.

She's very welcoming. We talked about so many things that I have lost track..But.Why LMU was one staple question to start with..Then she told me about her own experiences and the kind of faculty, students ,internships, weather conditions at LMU. It was fun and the wasn't a quintessential interview.

We talked for 48 minutes .Yeah!
Meanwhile, she told me about the school and that they take up about 24 people in the graduate program for production and that the school is fairly small. It was very interesting because she gave her insight on certain documentaries nominated for Oscars this year. We discussed the kind of films I like and she planned to link me up with current LMU students that share the kind of interests I do.

She wasn't insistent and even tried to explain the major differences between films schools like USC,NYU and calarts.

All in all. Its a choice I have To make..NYU in waiting
Btw.She is pretty psyched about the impressive class this year and I am sure you guys would make it.

PS- 10k scholarship is an incentive!

Cool~wait for you to share your final decision:D

Hi Yvonne

You will get it definitely~Would you take this offer?

I have my personal issue you knew it. I will get the answer and make my decision in the beginning of April.

Keep updates to you :D

Congrats again! If you have any questions about the program from a student's POV, don't hesitate to ask!

Hey there! I don't know whether you remember it or not, but several weeks ago you were explaining your reasons for LMU over FSU on this website to an applicant. I carefully read your post, and thought your reasons were extremely useful and wonderful. I asked some friends too and they all agreed with you. And you cheered me up when I was feeling bad about not getting an interview from FSU. I am now accepted to FSU, but I want to wait for LMU's notifications because I really think I like LMU more and fit more to LMU's program. Thank you so much for sharing with us your experiences, and I hope I could get a chance to come to LMU and thank you in person.;):D

I've given up on LMU. I haven't gotten any word and when I mailed the department about information, nada. Congrats to everyone who got in, though. I just wish that they had been more professional and at least answer my e-mails.

Hello everyone, I was recently accepted into the MFA program for fall. I am fairly certain I will attend, but I never received an interview so my knowledge of the program is strictly from their website. If anyone has any insight, or information about the program and school, I would very much appreciate it. Congrats to everyone else that got in!
