London Film School (LFS) vs London Film Academy (LFA) vs MetFilm School vs University of Arts, London (UAL) vs Goldsmiths, University of London?

Hello Members , I am following the thread of the discussion regarding choice of film schools . My daughter is finishing her high school in May 2023. She has received offer from LFA , KENT , KINGSTON & UAL for Bachelor of Artsin Film Making . We are looking for advise and suggestions with regards to which Univ/ college foom the above specified is the best . From the discussions above , I find that all of you are going to pursue Masters in Film Making. As senior, what would you advise for my daughter . Kindly share your opinion .
Hello,
Please, can you tell me how did you decided after all? My son is senior year in highschool andn now we are at the application process. I would be grateful if you can share your daughter experience or if we can talk in private for some advice. Thx!

Hi, I'm pursuing an MA in Filmmaking (Directing). I'm also deciding between LFA and UAL, I received offer from LFA just now and am still waiting reply from UAL. The result will release in March. London Film Academy seems to be a practical film school, but UAL has a better reputation in general. I want to go for Directing specialism, and I know that the competition for UAL (Directing) is huge too.
London Film School's tuition fee is too high for me. I won't go unless I have a scholarship. As for Met Film School, I'm still thinking.
I cannot make up my mind. Does anyone have some insights on it? Thank you!

I am having the same issue now, with LFA, MET and Central, but I can't make up my mind either. At first I wanted to go to MET, but when I did some research I didn't find a whole lot of positive reviews, so now I am doubting again. Central seems great as well, the interviewer was one of the teachers and was very nice, but it is still a young school, so I don't know yet.

I did follow the young filmmaker's academy at LFA a couple of years back and enjoyed it very much, it was a great mix of theoretical and practical subjects, the teachers were great and I learned a lot. I don't know if this is the same for the MA in filmmaking of course.

I now got offers from LFA, UAL but as producer specialism, and AUB.
I wanna pursue directing specialism, so I am not sure about UAL. But UAL seems to be a school with higher reputation.

I was faced with the same choice! I was accepted to MET MA Cinematography, London and UAL LCC MA Film-Cinematography

Hi , I want to pursue filmmaking at LFA and At Ual, and have been offered a place at both places but can't make a decision...have you come to a conclusion?

Hey Neha, sorry for replying so late. I am still not sure but I have a slightly better understanding of these universities from the time I posted this question. Would you like to chat further on WhatsApp? If yes, feel free to ping me on +91 9713288065.
Hi Anush, I've applied to LFA and Ual for the MA in filmmaking, I would like to know which university you attended after all ? And if you have the time could you give me a feedback on your course and the quality of education?

Hi I'm facing the same dilemma as you, have you made a decision between LFA and UAL as yet ?

I ended up going for LFA! I did the YFA there as well and liked their teachers a lot. I connected with some alumni from the schools I got offers from on LinkedIn, and the people from LFA were most positive, which helped me in my decision as well :) I didn't connect with any people from UAL, so maybe that might help as well to reach out to some students/alumni?

Thanks a lot for being responsive, btw what is YFA?

Hello,

I'm deciding between LFA and Met Film, I have offers from both which I have to answer soon. Also, my main major is Directing, and Met Film offers a Directing MA, while LFA offers a filmmaking MA and also Met film told me they can only give me a place in their Berlin School, so if anyone has experience or knowledge about this, I would be very happy if you can help me with this decision and options. Also, I have offers from some other universities or Film schools, like the Art University of Bournemouth, and I’m waiting for the answer from NFTS and LFS, which if I want to wait I'll lose my other offers.
Hello! I am applying for both this year, any tips and tricks?
