Hi everyone 😊
My name is Nicholas, I am an award winning film director from London, UK - and I am currently in my 2nd year on the Directing MFA at The American Film Institute. The film that me and my team are producing is called SOME KIND OF PARADISE, and tells the story of a lonely Arizona cowboy called Tyler. It is going to be a 15 minute short - and explores themes around love, longing, and masculinity...

We are looking for a few interested creatives who may be interested in coming on board as named partners/associate producers/executive producers on this film. The cool this is - AFI offers producer credits for individuals who invest certain levels of donation into AFI thesis films - which would mean being a named creative partner and having a title card at the front of our film during the festival run and eventual distribution. 💃💃💃

The IMPORTANT bit :) ALL donations are tax deductible. So your investment can be fully refunded by the IRS.

If you'd like to see some more visuals and read a director's statement, check out our website at somekindofparadise.com
  • The budget for shooting this short film in LA is estimated at $58,000. We have $30,000 already raised, but we still need to cover the gap. We're hoping to find support and friends in this awesome filmschool.org community.
  • We provide our sponsors with a digital copy of the film, script, lookbook, shot list. This may be a good opportunity if you want to know more about professional short film productions :)

NB: If you come on as an associate producer or executive producer, these credits can be massively helpful when applying for the O1 artist visa - or to film school itself, if you are considering that option!

If you're interested and would like to see a full visual treatment, please email nfinegan@afi.edu 😊
