Hey guys, does anyone know about if the cinematography course has started sending out interview invites? Some alumni told me they got the notification usually around early/mid-June but it seems this year everything's moving much slower..

No idea about cinematography, I personally don't know anyone who applied to that specific course, but Directing Fiction applicants are also still waiting.

My DoP who has also applied hasn’t heard anything back yet. They got the same email from registry as us saying the process takes a while to get through. So I wouldn’t worry!

Good to know! Hope everyone's application goes well :)

Great to know we now have a Cinematography thread! I’ve been religiously checking the Directing Fiction thread looking for information haha!

Just out of curiosity - have you guys checked the view count on your submitted short films? How many new views did you get?

Hi all,

Thanks for your patience so far in awaiting application outcomes. The SIFT process can take a number of weeks (due to the volume of applications), and the Registry team will email you any updates.

All the best

Hi Emily Laura,

I know of two people that have received an invitation to an interview for this course on the 19th of June. I'm assuming this means that the rest of us have been rejected? Or do you do interviews in waves?

Sorry, I don't know specific dates for interviews, but the Registry department will email everyone who applied with application outcomes in the coming weeks. There can be more than one interview round. Good luck!

Did they also receive it on the 19th of June? They said on the open day that 30 people get an interview, and that gets cut down to 20 that get invited to the workshop. At this point it feels like I'm just awaiting rejection, doesn't feel too good ngl..
I also have two friends who have received interview offers for cinematography
