NFTS 2024 - Directing Fiction Applications

Who doesn’t love a dark drama!

When I went to the open day the guy showing me around from the course said - that they like the directors on the course to have differing styles and to specilise in a range of genres.
Whats your taste in genre FD97? Or anyone who is applying?

I had an interview for the course last year but unfortunately didn’t make it. I think interviews tend to be handed out mid - late June. (But obviously depends on how many applicants I guess)
Honestly feel for you FD97 … getting that far in the process then just not quite getting in. Mustve been so hard. Im rooting for you all the way this time!

Thank you! Yeah it sucked but to be honest I wasn’t actually expecting to get an interview. So it’s nice to know what the process is like, if I’m lucky enough to get another.

Hahaha No definitely not (yes)

Not to sound like I'm obsessed but I seem to currently only have a view from before my status changed to the selection panel which is intriguing... I guess maybe they also watch it through to check it before sending it on.

Is it weird that I haven't gotten to selection panel yet?? First time it takes so long for me!
How long before the deadline did you submit your application? I'm wondering if they are just doing it chronologically and had a lot of applications!

“Thank you for your application which is now processed and prepared for the selection panel.”Does this mean I can participate in the interview, or my materials are still under review.
