NFTS Applications - 2020

Congrats starsailor!
I had my interview for MA in Editing some two weeks ago and passed to the workshop. The interview was super nice as well for me, the commission was really friendly.
Now the real stress begins ;)

Cool, did they also ask you to send them your passport and diploma straight away? It was a bit weird since I already send them this. But maybe it's a normal procedure.

Congrats both!

I've also been invited to take part in the selection workshop so I'll see you there!

Hi Jimmy,

I also had an interview for the Directing Fiction course and I asked if we would have a workshop if chosen. Thankfully, it’s only for other courses like Cinematography and I think Editing. The final group chosen will commence the program in January for the Directing Fiction programme. Hope this was helpful.

Does any other film program do a selection workshop? Are there basically doing a tryout?

Super helpful. Thanks and good luck!

Hey guys. I got my email a few days ago, for an interview in Cinematography on July 17th. How have your interviews been? What did they ask? (from all areas)

Hey guys, I've asked them when should we receive the answer on admission and they said at the end of July. Something's telling me that in reality, it will be well into august, judging from the previous treads. What do you think?

Hey guys, have been nominated as a reserve candidate for the course I applied for. Anyone have experience with this/know what to expect? Unsure whether to keep my fingers crossed or reapply next year with more experience... I think part of it might be to do with my age as I'm rather young. Having said that I think the application process and interview went well and the panel were lovely. Keen to hear any thoughts :)

Congrats!
We talked a lot about the two films that I sent as a part of my application- one was the initial montage we applied with, the other one was a film we edited from the rushes they sent.
There was also a viewing test- I watched 10 minutes of a film and we talked about it.
Other questions were pretty "classical"- why I want to be an editor, how did I find my interest in it, etc.

I'd say- just make sure you know your application, including the answers to the questions, and you're good!

Hi, I applied to the NFTS for the MA in Games Design and Development and I got an interview date through... I am so nervous and excited!

How is everyone else’s applications going? I heard that they really put a lot of emphasis on team work within different disciplines so it’s be awesome so work with some of you on scripts and music!

Hey everyone! Not sure if any of you are still on here much, but I was just curious to see if anyone else is due to start on January 27th?
