NYU Tisch Dramatic Writing 2024 - Who's applying? (1 Viewer)

The deposit was due on the 15th, so I'm guessing people will hear (if they do) in a couple of weeks at the earliest.
Is your assumption based on data from other cycles? I figured if the 15th was the deadline to accept the first round offers, it should only take a couple days after that for them to begin contacting those waitlisted. But maybe I’m just overthinking.

The waitlist letter, of course, says that “movement on the waitlist generally occurs between mid-April and mid-May, but waitlisted candidates can remain in contention through Summer.” I would imagine, then, that it’s definitely possible to be contacted whereabouts of now, but I don’t think we’re necessarily done for if not either!

My guess (and this is just a guess) is that we can assume it's a no if we don't hear back by the end of May. I think international students have until the beginning of July because they need time to process their I-20/Visa.

I understand this FAFSA issue is causing Havoc with both grad and undergrad waitlists for every school. I don’t know of anyone has a good view of the chaos that’s causing for everyone. Hopefully that gets sorted soon.

I just interviewed with Sabrina Dhawan. She was extremely kind and helpful. We had a great conversation that lasted around 40 minutes. She didn't read my sample, so my understanding is the interviewee jots a couple of notes down and sends them to the admissions committee, who decide.
Hi! I'm reading through old threads and found this comment. I have an interview with Sabrina tomorrow for the 2025 cycle and I'm wondering if there's anything noteworthy you remember from your interview with her last year that might be helpful? I also noticed you were accepted off the waitlist, so congrats! How has the first year been for you?
