NYU Tisch Grad Film - 2023

Does anyone know when we need to send off the scholarship reply form by? I can't find a date anywhere

Hey y’all,

I hope to meet some of y’all tomorrow during the Zoom Admitted Students event.

In the meantime, I started a Facebook group. I’m a bit overwhelmed trying to figure out moving, housing, financial aid, etc., and I’m hoping I’m not the only one. I figured maybe we could all get to know each other and help each other out. On Facebook, the group name is NYU Grad Film Class of 2026.

Please join!

Hey can't seem to find it by searching it on FB. Could you post the link or dm it to me? Thank you!

Anyone who is able to figure out how to fund it if they can't afford it? Scholarships/advice, anything is welcome!
Abdul you are from Pakistan right? I'm guessing your situation when it comes to that is a little bit harder than mine, though mine is not great either(I'm from Portugal). My government doesn't have any grants for studying abroad unlike some other countries, but there is one foundation that offers aid, and so I applied to it. I would also advise you to email a presentation letter to any arts, film, governamental or not institutions in your country requesting extraordinary aid given the great opportunity it could for a Pakistan filmmaker to go to NYU TISCH, etc. Other than that there is also the list of external aid and scholarship institutions that NYU gives you. I would try everything, which is what I'm doing.
I really hope you can make it!! Good luck.

Hey there, yes I'm from Pakistan. I understand what you mean, I've spent the time since my acceptance reaching out to everyone I can think of but Pakistan is on the brink of default, there is no money anywhere. So yeah, I'm still looking since every MFA program gives that stock reply of please reach out to your country but of course every country is not the same and it's mostly richer countries that offer things like these in the first place. I hope it works out well for you too! Feel free to message if you would like to chat more about this :)

For anyone looking for a waitlist update, I reached out to Courtney today:
As of today, it does not look like we will be taking any students off our waiting list. This could potentially change if someone notifies us during the summer months, but as of this moment I don't foresee that happening.
Doesn't mean it won't happen, but I'll be moving forward with my second choice in the meantime!

I just updated the review page for NYU with a ton of info and I was wondering if anyone could help with some information about the school?

I couldn't find up-to-date info on what cameras production students are using so I left that as "unknown" on the page above for now... Does anyone by any chance know what they use?

If you are attending or went on a tour it would be awesome to get a review of the program on the page above as well. :) It can be an anonymous review.
