Ah I hope you get in this year! I submitted a play. What was the interview like?
Thanks you too! I interviewed with James last year and it just felt like a conversation. We didn’t talk about my sample but I got to tell him more about myself and my life and the type of work I like. He emphasized that if you get an interview that means they think you have what it takes to be in the program, but what it all comes down to is them trying to carefully assemble a class with diverse writing styles, interests, and backgrounds.

I have applied too. This is the first time I have applied to film schools. I submitted a One-hour TV pilot, which took me a lot of time. I'm an international student, and writing in English for a so much long script made me exhausted and learned a lot hhh. I'm happy to have a place to share messages with applicants.

Ah I met James when I went to visit, super nice guy. He said the same thing to me during the meet and greet. Hopefully you get him again. If I get lucky to get one myself, ngl I’m nervous about which faculty member it would be… The waiting game is long!

Has anyone here heard about something like the interview from NYU? I don't know if they need to interview all applicants or be casual.

I know! I had a professor of mine tell me that it may take longer for decisions to come out of NYU, because their academic calendar changed (she also teaches there), so I’m trying not to read too much into it. Nonetheless, I’m stress checking my email every few hours.
