Hey guys didn't see a thread for calarts 2022 so here we go. just had a few questions regarding their interview background and expectations, specifically the film direction course. if anyone has any minute input, please let me know. Thanks :)

I believe you get interviewed by Film Directing Faculty. They should all be very familiar with your materials because I think it’s the only graduate program in which the faculty chooses rather than an admissions committee. Congratulations and good luck to you!

Thank you so much! Do you have any tips or anything for the interview, any little morsel will help at this time 😅 but thanks nonetheless

I would just say to remember that like most other programs, they are looking for people that have their own unique voice and perspective as a director. Lean in hard into what you like and what you want to create there. They really prioritize artistry and like when you already know who you are and what you want to make. I know it’s not much that I’m giving here but, I wish you the best of luck! It a great program and a lot of the graduate film students there are some of the most talented filmmakers I know. That already tells me something about you and your talent! So congratulations and again best of luck!

Thank you so much! This really helped and further assured me, phew. Best of luck to you as well :D
