Size and Font Question

I'm applying to NYU Tisch, USC, and Columbia.

I'm currently working on the film treatment portions of the applications, and finding it to be quite a challenging endeavor.

Is that a certain font or size I must adhere to? If not, making my treatment 10, rather than 12, would provide me with the freedom and ability to present my thoughts in a clearer and less congested manner.

How did you guys tackle this aspect of the application?

Thanks.

for safety's sake, stick with the oldest standard.
Font size 12. Times New Roman. You can't go wrong with that.
Don't try to manipulate the font and size to put more stuff in it. I usually associate that kind of tactic with people who have too much to say with very little legit content. I'm not saying that you do that, but that's my initial reaction to any paper that manipulate the font and/or size to fit more stuff in it.

Most universities clearly state on their website what they want to see. If you have any doubts left, just call them. I called NYU and Columbia when I had similar questions and they're actually really nice.

eh.. that's a stretch there. They're not going to toss your paper out if you don't use courier size 12.
Just choose a standard font that most people use and don't try to use extra tiny fonts or manipulate borders or size.
