Hello all! My name is Dave and I am currently pursuing graduate studies in Film Production. Like some of you on here, my path to filmmaking was not the most traditional. I had previously attended Colorado State University - Pueblo straight out of high school but a personal tragedy prompted me to leave school and join the work force. After a nearly 10 year hiatus from higher education and with no real direction in my life, I returned to school. With the love and support of my family and friends, I returned to school to pursue the ultimate dream of becoming a filmmaker. I attended my home town college, University of Colorado Colorado Springs (or UCCS for short) and just completed my degree in Communication with an emphasis in Digital Filmmaking. I decided that if I was going to pursue this further, then I would do so the right way. I am committed to learning all I can about the craft of film production and to do so I have decided to apply to the best programs out there! Although acceptance into any of these programs is a long shot, I figure that I owe it to myself to really go for it! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! I am currently in the process of applying to UCLA, USC, Chapman, NYU, UT, LMU and FSU. I am still considering others as well! Any insight, advice, well wishes and good vibes are appreciated!
Best of luck to you all!
-Dave
