Well hello there!

Joined the forums a while back but never really got to introduce myself so here goes.

From the Netherlands and currently working for myself as a Creative in China, my name is Thor.
I'm 32 years old and have been gradually getting more into film since the last few years.

For anyone who is interested, most of my work is on my website www.thorcaes.com
Although I also have a few other things on my Vimeo which is also thorcaes.

As for filmschool, I initially wanted to apply for the Chinese full-time Cinematography Masters at the Beijing Filmschool but since the study is 3 years as well as that I'm aiming to eventually get back to Europe, I decided to look for other alternatives.

So far, I've applied for the MA Cinematography (2022 September course) at the Met Film school (Berlin) and got through an interview successfully.
However, I'm currently working on another shortfilm that I'm planning to finish in around 2 weeks, and then I would like to apply for the MA Cinematography (2023 January Course) at the NFTS as well.
So I'll be keeping an eye out for any related posts on the forum.

If anyone has any questions for me, or would simply like to get in touch to collaborate, definitely feel free to leave me a message!

Hi Thor, I am also from the Netherlands and am planning on applying to the NFTS for production design. The only problem is that it is very hard to find any scholarships to study in the UK as an EU citizen. Are you planning on applying for any scholarships?

Hi,
To be honest, I couldn't find any scholarships either. So I'm sorry but I can't help you with that.
Although I do know they had any info related to that put on their website. So I'd still advice on checking out the website thoroughly.

Good luck with your application. Make sure you do it on time since I know the application for MA Cinematography closed 5th of May.

FYI we have an interview with NFTS admissions if you haven't seen it yet. :)
