Here are the top schools according to this USA Today Article:

    1. University of Southern California: Los Angeles (USC)
    2. Tisch School of the Arts at New York University
    3. University of California School of Theater, Film and Television (UCLA)
    4. Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University
    5. Loyola Marymount School of Film and Television
    6. UC Berkeley
    7. UC Santa Cruz
    8. American University
    9. Wesleyan University
    10. Pratt Institute
6 thru 9? Really? Wesleyan? I actually looked into to Wesleyan (in 1994) and it was just pretty much film studies only. From the article it seems that it may still the case. Nice school overall but I think it's not necessarily where you'd go if you are diehard into film... and that's pretty much what the school themselves told me back then when I was applying. But again that was 20 years ago so maybe it's different now.

The article seems geared towards undergratuate so there's no AFI. But what about Emerson? BU?

    What's your list?

i've honestly never heard of anything film related from 6-9. everyone else though, have a solid name.
although I also noticed that NYU is noticeably absent.. and well as Northwestern and Emerson.

I didn't know that Pratt had a good film school. I kinda ignored them several months ago when they were trying to recruit me. Oh well, whatever.
