What advantages/disadvantages between going for a BA in production (transferring after two years at another college) VS completing your undergraduate degree and applying for a MFA in film production?
I am a freshman at UC Berkeley and will declare for a bachelors in film studies during my sophomore year (Cal does not allow you to declare your liberal arts degrees in your freshman year). I am considering trying to transfer into USC SCA production (UC Berkeley does not have film production), but USC only accepts transfers after a certain number of units are completed - which is essentially two years.
Or, do I complete my BA in film studies and then try to apply for a MFA in production at USC (or other well regarded MFA film programs).
