UNCSA Creative Producing MFA 2025

They asked me about three main things:
- Past: How did you get into filmmaking? What’s your experience in the industry?]
- Present: What are you up to right now? Why did you want to go to grad school, and what made you choose UNCSA?
- Future: What kind of films do you want to make in the future?
Depending on how I answer, they might dive deeper with follow-up questions. For instance, if I talk about my work experience, they could ask what stuck out to me about that time and what I learned from it. I think the questions will also relate to the documents you submitted, so you should have a solid grasp of what you've prepared.

Thank you so much for sharing this info! I wish you luck with your admission! Hopefully after this interview period in February we will hear beginning of March.

@Tra Do Just FYI I saw on their website that they opened the admission to a "rolling admission" so people can still submit after the initial due date. Based off of that and the 2024 screenwriting MFA thread on this site, it sounds like they will send out decisions in waves until April. Like last year someone got an acceptance at the beginning of February while another person got one in April - so it sounds like there isn't a set day that they send out decisions and instead it's spread out until April!

I haven’t heard back from UNCSA yet. I hope to receive the results soon because I have an acceptance from DePaul that requires a reply before April.
