Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television (LMU SFTV) remains one of the top West Coast film schools. In 2024, The Hollywood Reporter ranked LMU SFTV no. 5 among the top U.S. film schools for the second consecutive year. And In 2022, FilmSchool.org named LMU SFTV runner-up for...

I'm open to questions from undergraduate and graduate students about the application process, campus culture and student life (clubs, etc.), tips for getting accepted, fine-tuning the portfolio, financial aid and scholarships, and more.

Please submit your questions by Monday, August 28th at 11:59 p.m. ET. Thank you!

Here are some questions we should probably ask...
  • What's the single most important thing in the application?
  • Any application mistakes or things not to do that they've seen? What are red flags in an application?
  • How important are the interviews? Advice?
  • How much scholarship do they offer? How many recruitment receive them?
  • How important is GPA?
I'll probably think of more.
