Heyyyyyy! You still an improviser? I was on a Harold team for a long while and still perform at the Annoyance on Trigger Happy but I'm also trying to make the move to be a "professional writer" haha

Hey girl, hey!

I had to pause on improv because of costs etc -- and I realized it wasn't a career choice I wanted to make, so my heart wasn't in it, but I enjoyed the classes a lot! I took a year at the Annoyance, which was really my favorite one. Nice! I've seen a few Trigger Happy performances but not as of spring 2016. Ha.

I've been trying to put together a writing group that consist of LGBTQ, people of color, and women for a couple of months now and it's pretty difficult finding folks who want to focus on writing and not becoming a director (right off the bat) so it has gone no where... -.- I would love to know if you hear of any!

My stuff is on my website in my profile. :D

I totally get you on costs - those classes can be expensive! I don't know of any consistent writers groups, although I am a part of the iO Writer's Group (basically just an online community) and I do run the Write or Die show at iO. If you'd like to be involved in either just let me know! And if you find your writer's group I'd LOVE to join :)

Hi, from Canada :S - been my dream to tell stories that people can actually see instead of them being just in my head, ever since grade 10. One night that year, I was having a weird physiological response to watching Doctor Who of all things, and read somewhere that Russell T Davies used to be a fan of the show before becoming the creator of the 2005 version. So, for the past 6 years I guess I've just been waiting... hello.

Restarting this thread. :)

Where is everyone from?

I grew up in the Columbia, MD area before my family moved to Boston when I was 15. Then went to Boston University before moving out to Los Angeles in 2001. (September 2001 before you know what - crazy time to arrive in LA)

I grew up in Chicago and got a BS in Computer Graphics at Purdue in Indiana. After uni I moved to Japan and have lived here for the last 13 years (2008- ) I'm hoping my next stop is LA for film school and then splitting my time between LA and Tokyo after that.
