LIU Brooklyn - MFA in Writing and Producing for Television

Any thoughts on this program and its reputation? Would love to especially hear from both current students/alumni and also people who were accepted and chose not to attend.

Can I use a short script I wrote based on a prompt from school A's application as a writing sample submitted to school B?

The school who created the prompt was Columbia, fwiw. I liked what I wrote enough that I'd like to use it as one of my writing samples for applications I'm still submitting. Is that allowed, given that I did not come up with the premise and it originated from another school's application...

Speaking generally, how much does applying before the priority deadline vs regular deadline impact admissions chances for masters programs?

This isn't about one school in particular, but if you have specific experience or knowledge about certain programs that's helpful too! I know your application will be reviewed first if you apply before the priority deadline (and so it's better in that sense), but how much of an advantage is it...

Fairleigh Dickinson University - MFA in Film

Does anyone have any insight into FDU's MFA in film? Here's a link to the program's page: MFA Film | Fairleigh Dickinson University I can't find much information re: alumni or program outcomes, and their curriculum description is a bit lacking.

    What is Columbia's MFA deadline?

Hi all, dumb question - Columbia's MFA deadline is December 15th correct? And not the 1st? I see the 15th on their site but had somehow become convinced it was the 1st and had that written down in my personal calendar.

Who to ask for Reccomendations for MFA film program?

It was a marketing/social media internship at a large B2B corporation - my supervisor (who I mentioned) was the social media manager. Thank you again, though. I really appreciate it.

Who to ask for Reccomendations for MFA film program?

Thanks for the advice! You don't think it'll matter that it's a peer? This would be for USC Stark specifically, if that changes anything. The other schools allow for more than one academic reference and I have other professors I can likely ask.

Who to ask for Reccomendations for MFA film program?

Hi guys! I'm applying for MFA programs and I'm struggling with who to ask for recommendations. I've already gotten one professor and one extra curricular advisor who both know me well, but I need one more that is from a non-academic source. I'm wondering which option would be better: An old...
